Several companies can provide an experienced guide to lead your group on a day or overnight hike. This is a great way to learn about the Smoky Mountains. Look for a guide who is knowledgeable in your areas of interest, such as mountain folklore, medicinal plants, edible plants, wildflowers, animal tracks, life in the mountains before the Park, etc. A couple of companies will also provide a gentle llama or two to help carry the load on longer hikes.
